Trent Sadler
Wealth Advisor
Trent was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California where he was first exposed to, and intrigued by, the immense power of compounding returns through the massive gains made in the Southern California Real Estate markets that he saw occurring in real-time. During his adolescence, he consistently maintained a jam-packed schedule that spread his time thin between school, sports and hobbies. He was a three-year Varsity member of Laguna Beach High School’s Water Polo and Swim teams where he won multiple CIF Championships. This made the prospect of traditional high school level jobs essentially out of the question. However, his parents taught him the value of a dollar at a very young age, which led him to found a BBQ cleaning business with his friend during their Sophomore year of high school. The business allowed the two to set their own hours while also being able to generate enough income to begin investing in the stock market.
From a young age, Trent had originally planned on following in his father’s footsteps as a structural engineer. However, after a newfound passion for investing, he decided to change his trajectory toward the world of Finance. He went on to major in Finance and minor in Economics at Santa Clara University. At SCU, he was also a member of their Division I Men’s Water Polo Team. Playing high-level athletics taught Trent a number of invaluable lessons, some of which include the direct correlation between work put in and outcome achieved, the importance of perseverance through hardships, the value of working within a team dynamic, and the fact that if you’re on time you’re late.
He began his professional career at Stansberry Asset Management (SAM) as a Finance Intern during his Senior year of college. Impressed with his performance as an intern, SAM offered Trent a full-time position as a Sales Development Associate after he graduated. He went on to hold additional positions as an Account Executive and finally the Internal Business Development Manager. When Trent first joined the firm, SAM had roughly $350 Million in Assets Under Management (AUM) and by the time he left they had just under $1 Billion in AUM. In the various roles he held, he was responsible for working with prospective clients to educate them on what the firm was able to provide and develop a plan to best allocate assets among SAM’s proprietary portfolio options to best achieve long-term investment goals.
Trent’s background in portfolio management, security analysis, asset allocation strategies, and alternative investments provides him with the resources necessary to develop a tailored approach to holistic financial success. Outside of work, Trent enjoys spending his free time surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and paragliding.
